Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a career opportunity for a Client Account Manager - Power with a strong track record of business development and client service management.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Serve as a lead Client Account Manager (CAM) in substantially growing the business for the Midwest US across multiple market sectors, i ncluding a number of strategic energy sector clients (NiSource, AEP, LG&E, Duke Energy and KU Services, etc.)
  • Provide value to our energy sector clients as they navigate the energy transition, including opportunities in plant decommissioning, transmission and distribution, and renewables development, including solar, wind, and energy storage projects
  • Understand industry goals, drivers, and emerging technologies and markets to expand client relationships/partnerships and develop growth strategies and plans for the above service lines
  • Take a leadership role in integrating and expanding the joint business development and project execution efforts in the Midwest US with respect to civil or geotechnical engineering, environmental, natural resources, and construction quality assurance on specific projects, as well as cross-selling opportunities for other service lines.
  • Lead or assist in pursuits and developing Capture Plans for major opportunities
  • Lead or assist in the preparation of major proposals for key clients
  • Guide the activities of others within the Region in similar endeavors, as the needs and opportunities are identified by the Candidate or others in the organization
  • Participate in selected important projects as principal in charge, technical advisor, client sponsor, or project manager

Business Development :
  • Drive growth through large CAPEX, OPEX, and Environmental Services projects, programs and opportunities
  • Leverage Wood relationships for E&IS with existing and new customers in select private sector clients.
  • Drive sales opportunities through entire spectrum of Wood E&IS services and champion cross-divisional approach
  • Partner with appropriate Sector Leaders and Business Managers to create and sell solutions to key clients


Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering
  • 10 years + of experience in the Power Sector
  • Strong technical and management background including progressively responsible leadership roles in project management, operation management and business development
  • Strong, proven client development/management skills, including preparation of fee estimates, proposals and statements of qualifications
  • Must possess excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports
  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
