Position description

We are seeking an Insurance Risk Specialist to join the Insurance Management & Advisory Division (IMAD) of the Financial Risk Management (FRMD).

IMAD is part of the FRMD in Treasury and its function is to provide support across the Company through the identification, quantification and mitigation of casualty risks and to reduce the cost of insured and uninsured loss to the Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates.

Saudi Aramco, a global leader in oil and gas exploration, production and processing, refining, chemicals, and lubricants is seeking a Risk Management and Insurance professional to join the IMAD to analyze risk exposures, design strategies, and procure insurance to protect assets and mitigate the liabilities of a growing company. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the Division's wide-ranging activities.

Minimum requirements

As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in either Insurance or Risk Management.

At least fifteen years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry or experience in a major corporate organization is preferred.

You will hold an Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), a Certified Membership of IRM (CMIRM), a Membership to the School of Information Risk Management (SIRM), or a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Duties and responsibilities

You will be required to performed the following:

Posses significant relevant corporate risk and insurance expertise obtained from industry, international broking, risk management or insurance company background and ideally have experience of the energy and petrochemical industry sector.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish personal credibility with various internal and external parties.

Demonstrate flexibility, team orientation, an ability to work with minimum supervision to meet challenging deadlines and competent to plan and coordinate workloads for themselves and others.

Add value by delivering work of the highest quality and be able to proactively overcome issues to ensure delivery.

Demonstrate excellent Project Management skills, a thorough understanding of contractual risk and be able to offer logical and innovative solutions to complex issues.

Deep knowledge of captive insurance companies is desirable, although not essential.
