For our expanding software development operations in Europe (primarily located in Delft), we are looking for a Senior People Manager / People Operations Manager. As part of the management team, you will be responsible for a large team of employees and contractors working on a variety of software development projects for Wellbore Construction and Subsurface modeling.

As Senior People Manager / People Operations Manager you are responsible for:
  • Managing high-performing, agile software teams of employees and contractors in a rapidly growing, global organization. The teams (approx. 50 FTE) are primarily located in Delft, but also includes contractors in other European countries
  • Working with our recruiting team to hire and onboard top engineering talent consisting of software engineers, testers, UX designers, scrum masters, technical writers and DevOps engineers
  • Partnering with Product Delivery to align the business needs with the available capacity and required skills.
  • Contributing to department-wide initiatives promoting technical excellence, innovation, engagement, and diversity.
  • Actively contributing to technical discussions and strategy helping improve our software development processes and teams
  • Encouraging a healthy and innovative team culture demonstrating Baker Hughes values through mentorship and coaching.
  • Constantly detecting and taking advantage of opportunities to improve team performance, quality, and communication

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelors' degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Have thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle principles, especially Agile.
  • Be a people leader for a large pool of resources. Experience in line management of a team, have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types, make the team grow.
  • Have excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills
  • Have excellent English communications skills (verbal and written)
