We are looking for a highly motivated C# Developer with .Net experience to help us build our next generation of industry-capable, web-based application suites. Our small, self-organizing teams employ Agile processes to create a high-performing software development environment. This position requires working with teams in San Luis Obispo, California and Houston, Texas with the opportunity to work out of either location. Working remotely is also a consideration for the right candidate. This position entails working with some independence to perform coding, testing, and debugging of commercial software in the energy industry. The initial focused will be on building and maintaining our next generation web applications representing our primary operational user interface. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is developing a new thin client HMI solution for Weatherford's industry-leading SCADA product, CygNet.

  • Develop and maintain engineering software for use in the energy industry.
  • Analyze designs to implement software applications.
  • Manage time to accomplish goals in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Provide high-quality work in a timely manner with direction and oversight from senior technical staff.
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to the software development process.
  • Employ software engineering methods and practices to create artifacts to support the implementation and support of software products.
  • Evaluate the existing implementation of a large, complex legacy system to determine and proceed with optimal resolution of issues and implementation of enhancements.
  • Resolve customer issues with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Work effectively with other developers, QA, Support and documentation staff on an Agile Scrum team to create quality software that is accurate, robust, and maintainable.
  • Support the creation of documentation and training material.
  • Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.


  • Good knowledge of C# and .Net framework.
  • Good knowledge of OOD/OOP
  • Experience implementing standard web design patterns
  • Strong diagnostic skills to analyze, track, trouble-shoot, and solve complex problems and design appropriate solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and perform work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork

  • BS Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 1 - 3 years of experience developing web-based applications
