Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Support Analyst Automation provides phone and email support for Weatherford's suite of Production and Automation products. Agents manage incoming support requests from Weatherford's customers and internal users and provide installation, configuration, and troubleshooting assistance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • This is a night shift position. Candidates must be available to work US Central Time business hours. Note that the shift timing is subject to change due to DST (Daylight Saving Time).
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and other channels of communication from customers asking for assistance with product issues.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external clients such as Field Engineers, Technicians, Clients, Sales Team, Trainers, and Install Specialists.
  • Provide troubleshooting and resolution for automation product issues related to Riciprocating Rod Lift, Gas Lift, Plunger Lift (Electric Submersible Pumping, Progressing Cavity Pumping).
  • Evaluate customers' product issues with well thought out or detailed questions to fully comprehend the need and best approach for resolving the problem.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Experts (SME) on technologies and set priorities in incident resolutions.
  • Participate in training programs to continuously improve product knowledge and service skills, as well as contribute to internal knowledgebases.
  • Provide insight and direction based on previous training and experience to make improvements, repairs, or amendments to new and existing systems
  • Communicate issues clearly and effectively to clients; document all customer interactions consistently and thoroughly.
  • Update and close Supprt tickets in a timely manner to reflect action taken and current status.
  • Participate in an afterhours call rotation with other team members to respond to critical system support requests.


Qualifications

Required:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • +1 year Experience in Oil & Gas Artificial Lift Systems including Reciprocating Rod Lift, Gas Lift, Plunger Lift (Electric Submersible Pumping, Progressing Cavity Pumping).
  • Experience in field installation and commissioning of systems, including instrumentation and signal interfacing with discrete, analog, digital and serial devices.
  • Experience with Low to Medium DC and AC Voltage.
