Take ownership for industry leading projects

As an Umbilical Service Site Leader, you will lead coordination, execution, and communication across multiple engineering product lines within our Umbilical product family. Responsible for activities related to the manufacturing, construction, and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. You will leverage your expertise comprising of different approaches, methodologies, techniques, and processes toward umbilical package and driving customer requirement up to contract satisfaction.

As an Umbilical Site Leader, you will also be responsible for:
  • Onsite management, leadership and influence at Fabrication Facilities in relation to schedule, scope, safety, quality, maintenance and design
  • Being first point of contact for Fabricator for all activities within scope ensuring project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into project planning scenario
  • Monitoring progress and producing accurate projections, understanding customer needs to identify and address design parameters, problems and develop and implement solutions to ensure business and operations continuity
  • Operational engineering including, review and interpretation of Company requirements, preparation/co-ordination of project documentation; specifications, analyses, drawings, design calculations, design reports, design plans, procedures, work packages.
  • Providing specialist skills, integrity, and knowledge in subsea umbilical and distribution systems, including design codes, legislative requirements and current good engineering practice.
  • Liaising with other project functions with regards to delivery of schedule, fabricator drawings and documentation pre and during execution
  • Controlling scope stability and preventing unfounded VOR claims, identifying areas for opportunity within schedule, ensuring Fabricator provides goods and services as per CONTRACT, controlling any Technical and Manufacturing aspect of the project on site to ensure alignment to work agreed.
  • Perform umbilical manufacturer and sub-supplier audit as part of cross functional team

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Demonstrate considerable experience in a related role managing fabricator manufacturing sites with SURF/umbilical related products
  • Have experience in positions related to Technical Leadership, Project Engineering, Design Engineering, Project Management
  • Show working knowledge of associated industry standards e.g. API, DNV, IEC, ISO, ITU-T & NORSOK, CIGRE
  • Be customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
  • Perform well in a fast-paced environment, constantly changing schedules and priorities, balancing external influences from customers, colleagues and schedules
  • Have very good oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Be resilient & relentless under all circumstances; working to heavy workloads as they arise, maintaining deliverables on time.
  • Have the ability to synthesize information, identify problems, establish facts and deduce solutions.
