Create high quality outcomes

As a Sr. Director, within Digital Technology (DT), you will partner with leaders and executives across different functions to drive improvement and transformation through Digital Technologies. Through this partnership, you will take ownership for the execution of all projects within your portfolio. You will define and ensure adherence to programme management best practice, deliver high-quality solutions on-time, within scope and on-budget.

This role is aligned to Turbomachinary and Process Solutions (TPS), a $6B revenue Product Company (business unit) within the Baker Hughes portfolio. TPS has many different Product Lines (sub business units) covering mechanical-drive, compression, and power-generation applications.

The role will be focussed on the implementation of contemporary and standardized Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) and Digital Configuration Management (DCM) solutions across all Product Lines within TPS. You will also act as the prime point of contact for all Engineering digital technologies (such as CAD, CAE & HPC) required by the Engineering & Technology function within TPS.

As a Sr. Director- Programme Management you will:
  • Develop strong partnerships with Engineering, Manufacturing / Supply Chain Management, Product Management, Sourcing and Service functions, to meet their goals and objectives with respect to PLM/DCM implementation, adoption and value generation.
  • Partner with senior & executive TPS business stakeholders as well as cross-functional DT leaders to create the digitization / digital transformation roadmap & program for PLM/DCM processes.
  • Partner with the PLM/DCM DT Enterprise Architecture and Technology leaders, to understand and formalize the business needs and value proposition; communicate the programme/projects execution approach and outcomes of research/analysis done.
  • Be accounatble for ensuring successful, end-to-end delivery of all projects within the PLM/DCM portfolio through ongoing client/stakeholder engagement, partnering with DT technical teams, and coordination of all required activities and milestones.
  • Partner with all stakeholders to define & manage the deliverables, CTQs/KPIs, schedule and budget for all projects within the portfolio. Accounatble for ensuring schedule & budget adhereance and value alignment.
  • Work with DT PMO, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Sourcing teams in project prioritization and initiation, being responsible for definition of and compliance with best in class project management methodologies & tools, performing regular tracking and reporting on progress, and accountable for initiative results verification.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, career development and mentorship to the project management team reporting to you, and ensuring that projects run smoothly.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 12 additional years of experience in Programme/Project Management, with professional accrediation as such APM or Prince a bonus. Candidates with significant professional Programme Management experience in lieu of University/College degree will also be considered.
  • Have strong stakeholder relationship management skills that inspire trust and confidence, in a matrix organization structure. Have significant experience in engaging with senior & executive management. Be organizationally & politically savvy, undetstanding the needs/wants and behaviours of different stakeholders.
  • Have experience in delivering Enterprise (IT) Applications such as PLM, ERP, CRM, or MES, in product engineering & manufacturing organizations.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills. Have signifiacnt experience in presenting effectively to different audiences and all layers within the organization, in particular to executive leadership.
  • Have demonstrated ability, with high levels of energy and tenacity, to lead, document, plan, structure, budget, market, and execute large scale complex technology programmes comprising a large portfolio of concurrent independent projects. Have experience of managing program portfolios with budgets' exceeding $10M per annum.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills; with the ability to motivate, influence and resolve conflict.
  • Have built and managed teams, comprising both direct and indirect reports. Have mentored, coached and developed staff. Experience of hiring staff, and carrying out staff appraisals.
  • Have demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems, and strong expediting skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of working with 3rd party suppliers and negotiating contract terms.
  • Be willing to travel internationally (up to 30%)
