Baker Hughes Turbomachinery Process Solutions (TPS) Plant and Module Technology typical applications consist of Gas Compression and Liquefaction plants, single lift modules for Turbogenerator or Turbo/Moto Compressor packages, Combined Cycle and ORegenTM Power Generation plants as well as low carbon solutions.

Take control of innovation

You will be developing technologies for high energy efficient carbon capture solutions and to enable the utilization and storage of CO2.

You will be responsible for technology scouting and selection, process conceptual design and optimization, basis of design definition, critical equipment selection and design tools development within the Plant & Module Engineering.

You will define the integration level between BH equipment portfolio and technology requirements, identifying gaps and supporting Product Leadership launching new product introduction.

NPC CCUS technologies include Non-Post-Combustion Capture (Gas Processing Unit of Oxy Combustion; Membranes; Direct Air Capture) and CO2 Utilization & Storage (CO2 Monetization/Chemicals production-Ethylene/Methanol; Building materials; CO2 Storage in-Saline, Aquifer or Enhanced Oil Recovery).

As a Non-Post-Combustion Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage Technology Leader (m/f/d), you will be responsible for:


  • Leading and performing studies, technical information packages and providing the technological input for studies, technical information packages, process design and basic engineering packages also as part of FEEDs and during detail engineering.
  • Supporting sales activities (e.g., technical presentations to costumers).
  • Maintaining product knowledge through the assessment of reference plants and commercial product feedback.
  • Defining and setting the process design rules for the respective technologies.
  • Creating, maintaining, and applying process design manuals, sizing tools and operating envelopes
  • Supporting EPC execution during engineering execution of specific projects based on the delivered basic engineering package.
  • Preparing standard SOM (supervisory operating manual) of the respective scope of technology.

To be successful in this role you will:



  • Have a MSc. or PhD. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Have extensive experience in Process Engineering.
  • Have relevant experience with Carbon Capture Technologies.
  • Have experience with New Product Development (NPD) process, Lean Principles, and management methodologies.
  • Be able to demonstrate deep technical leadership experience, with a solid business acumen and customer mindset.
  • Be able to travel internationally to visit customers, suppliers, partners or Baker Hughes locations.
