Our Early Career Program in Engineering and Technology inspires and guides recent graduates through career-shaping experiences. This two-year program consists of three rotational assignments in Technology roles. The program is designed to accelerate participants' professional development through intense technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. The next intake will start in July 2022.

Working in our Early Career Program you will be a part of Baker Hughes' innovation. You will be provided opportunities to enhance your engineering or technology-based knowledge, as well as stretch opportunities to collaborate with customers on developing break-through technologies, working on well-sites, with digital analytics, additive manufacturing or energy transition initiatives. Program graduates have the technical and business foundation to continually make innovative contributions to our future, taking energy forward.
When joining our early career program in Germany, you will have the opportunity to work with cross discipline teams on some of the world's leading technologies, which may include the following functions:
Embedded Software development where you are involved in the design, development, testing, and deployment of new and improved firmware and application software going into our products and components and made for harsh environment operations.
Signal processing and control using model-based development of algorithmic and mechatronic systems, functions, and software modules. You will view the entire life cycle from requirement specification, architecture design, simulation, implementation, verification & validation, and documentation.
Data Science which will expose you to the exploration and analysis of different data sources covering field, performance, financial, production and maintenance data, and developing new value-adding data science applications using state of the art technologies and methods.
Systems Engineering performing requirements and systems analysis, elaboration of use cases and test cases, as well as development of architecture and specifications for software and mechatronic systems.
As part of our Early Career Program, you will be responsible for:
Participating in intentional and structured career development activities and receive active coaching and mentoring
Completing formal training in engineering fundamentals essential to the Baker Hughes Engineers and relevant for the business
Networking globally and cross-functionally, leading program initiatives or projects with peers, interacting with global business leaders cross-functionally
Solving critical business challenges through cross-functional, mission-based teams
Participating in international experiences and assignments
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical and others), Technology, Mechanics or another STEM subject
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent)
Graduated from your Master's degree within the last 36 months
Be fluent in written and spoken German
Be fluent in written and spoken English is a plus
Have effective communication skills
Be inquisitive and outwardly present a thirst for more knowledge
Be able to travel internationally
Be legally entitled to work within the EU
