This position will have direct responsibility for a variety of hardware and software solutions across all life cycle stages. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality product maintenance and servicing philosophies that deliver exceptional customer value based on defined outcomes. You will align horizontally with larger product teams to drive accountability for broad company objectives that support the transformation of the services business.

As a Subsea Controls LOF Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of winnable strategies that creatively use resources to anticipate and solve problems, resulting in innovative solutions for the business using alternatives beyond the obvious.
  • Communicating expectations effectively, aligning, and energizing cross-functional teams.
  • Engaging all levels of Management across the organization to resolve issues, remove roadblocks and implement risk mitigations.
  • Preparing long-range plans and assure that they are aligned with our customer's value drivers and business objectives.
  • Developing Strategic LOF management plans in collaboration with customers carefully evaluating and reviewing changing dynamic drives over time.
  • Overseeing the strategic direction of obsolescence planning, patching compliance, and asset maintenance management.
  • Engaging customers globally and being the technical relationship owner for all brownfield life of field matters within the technical domain for subsea control system services.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and promote their use.
  • Working with product management teams to shape the future of servicing subsea control systems.
  • Leading in the evaluation/implementation of third-party solutions to create a competitive advantage.
  • Following up on customer satisfaction issues and drives resolution. Providing leadership by demonstrating focus on achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Coaching all engineers and services support staff to grow their competencies for delivering a first-class service in customer support.
  • Coaching teams on the management of project risks, conflict resolution, and establishment of project recovery plans.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in a "STEM" Major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Have substantial professional experience.
  • Have strong oral, written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Have the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Be able to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce them into a distinct, clear, timely and stable direction for engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate intimate knowledge of subsea production systems, Life of Field activities and Risks associated with Subsea system operations.
  • Understanding development methodologies - hardware/software.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and delivering complete solutions that solve business problems or deliver our strategy.
  • Have experience of planning, executing and evaluating LOF activities for SPS assets.
  • Have proven participation in industry standard shaping and cross industry bodies.
  • Have strong relationship building skills, be both direct and diplomatic, gains trust quickly of others.
