Seasoned Data Architect with established leadership credentials and hands-on experience in architecting, designing and implementing data infrastructure and platform on cloud for enterprise scale applications and Analytics.

You will be responsible for driving technical roadmap, strategy, architecture and design to create scalable, reliable and performant cloud agnostic data ecosystem & capabilities for Analytics & Dashboard applications (customer deployed & SaaS).

Being hands-on is critical to the success of this role as you may have to lead by example through poc, technology evaluation, etc while guiding other Architects and developers.

As a Senior Staff Data Architect, you will lead, architect and develop data ecosystems for enterprise-scale cloud applications & Analytics (Statistical, Physics based, ML, AI, etc). You will collaborate with Business & Technology stakeholders, Data Scientist, Data Engineers, Development & CloudOps teams to meet business objectives and roadmap.

As a Senior Lead Data Architect, you will be responsible for:
  • Driving and facilitating the discussions with business leaders to identify data related technology & capabilities for current and future business objectives.
  • Engaging with senior levels of leadership (both technical and business) with clear communication, appropriate levels of context and explanation, using visual and data representations when needed, to effect decisions, direction of strategy and bridge the gap between business and tech-speak.
  • Driving technical roadmap, strategy, architecture, design and evaluation to create scalable, reliable, secure and performant data ecosystem that can seamlessly integrate with cloud applications and Analytics in customer environment as well as SaaS.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive end to end customer focused solutions, efficient execution & cost optimization.
  • Proactively guiding teams, recommending best practices/framework/tools by foreseeing and addressing challenges and pitfalls peculiar to data in context of data science projects.
  • Demonstrating clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions.
  • Assessing technology trends and direction providing guidance on how those trends will impact organization opportunities as well as risks.


Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
  • 14+ years' experience in data architecture, design, integration, lakehouse, lake, warehouse, big data, data cost optimization, etc on AWS/Azure.
  • 5+ years in leading data strategy & execution for cloud agnostic Analytics focused applications (ML, Statistical, AI, etc).
  • 2+ years experience in data lakehouse architecture based solutions on AWS or Azure. Work experience in Snowflake, ADLS Gen 2, delta lake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, AWS Athena/Glue or Apache Drill for implementing Data lakehouse architecture. Awareness of Data Frabric, Data Mesh, DataOps.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering cloud-based data infrastructure/ecosystem from inception to deployment on AWS/Azure. Experience with OLAP, OLTP, timeseries data, customer deployment, SaaS offerings & data capabilities like modelling, ETL, pipeline, governance, security, pipelines, wrangling, etc.
  • Experience in databases & management, OLAP/OLTP, cost optimization, warehouse like snowflake, hadoop, Spark, S3/HDFS/Azure blob, etc •
  • Be proficient in the fundamentals, framework/tools, architecture, best practices.
  • Good at design thinking, Collaboration, Influencing and articulation.
  • Graduate of Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
