Regional Sales Executive - Training & Recruitment Services

Due to our increasing market developments and business opportunities we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Regional Sales Executive to join our successful North Sea Lifting (NSL) and OBM People businesses.

Operating locally, nationally and internationally, with a proven track record of service delivery in support of our clients in the Energy and Renewables industry sectors, NSL are recognised lifting, rigging and training specialists who have been providing their technical expertise for over 30 years, whilst OBM are a leading oil and gas recruitment company renowned for the provision of multi-discipline project, operational and support personnel for all stages of our client's business.

Reporting to the General Manager NSL & OBM, this role is responsible for delivering a demonstrable increase in sales for OBM recruitment services and for increasing delegate numbers passing through the NSL training centre. Whilst some engagement with existing clients may be required, the primary focus of the role will be the development and management of a new sales pipeline in the Northern UK region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Successful delivery of agreed revenue and margin targets.
  • Create a sales pipeline for the region and manage to achieve a successful conclusion and positive client experience
  • Develop client relationships and potential leads into clear opportunities and grow the business within renewables, public sector and construction sectors
  • Promote the NSL / OBM services across targeted UK industry sectors with innovative marketing and sound business development practices
  • Deliver clear monthly reporting
  • Engage with all relevant internal parties such as technical, operational, commercial and finance to ensure clear and efficient lines of communication
  • Ensure all proposals are financially viable and approved / delivered
  • Ensure all new / potential clients are effectively evaluated in conjunction with finance and present an acceptable credit risk before trading commences
  • Delivery of the agreed targets and objectives within our core business obsessions around safety, service delivery excellence and sustainability

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Education to National 5 level and Business or Marketing qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of sales in training and or recruitment
  • Experience working with bespoke software applications

  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing

  • Computer literate across the Microsoft suite
