Job Summary

This position has the following responsibilities:

  • This role will manage Group's identity by making sure the organization's advertising, marketing and public relations activities projects the right image
  • The role will also coordinate all internal and external communications while creating brand guidelines and ensuring the guidelines are adhered to.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Engages with Executive Management and relevant stakeholders (Media, Agencies, etc.) to develop a unique brand identity that would be recognized by employees, customers and other stakeholders
  • Liaise with Executive Management to formulate a Brand & Corporate Communications strategy that will support corporate goals & targets and core values and drives its implementation
  • Proposes, manages and controls the Brand & Corporate Communications budget
  • Develops, obtains approval and implements programs and initiatives to promote brand nationally and internationally
  • Coordinates new product launches (both internal and external)
  • Provides technical branding support and guidance in the organization of the Company's public events (road shows, product launches, customer fora etc.)
  • Develops and implements appropriate research and monitoring programs to track the brand's performance and recommend actions to address identified issues
  • Makes informed decisions on brand development, supports new brand activities and ensures the brand values and culture are reflected accurately
  • Liaises with Risk, Legal and Compliance personnel, to ensure the brand is registered for trademark and intellectual property rights where necessary and that this value is understood
  • Oversees the design and production of marketing collateral and promotional programs e.g. adverts, online campaigns, corporate websites and liaise with relevant suppliers to deliver them
  • Provides support to the Human Resources department to develop and implement the employer branding strategy and associated programs
  • Provides support to the Human Resources department to develop, explore options and execute employee communications and engagement initiatives. Ensures they are consistent and integrated into the overall branding and communications strategy and imperatives
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of the wider policy and practice environment that affects the oil and gas industry and advises management on the implications for the brand
  • Implement product marketing and communications plans on behalf of group companies.
  • Implement the corporate brand positioning agenda for the Holding company as well as corporate brand launch and positioning for all subsidiaries.
  • Execute internal communications and employer branding strategies that foster alignment and attract elite talent.
  • Handle editorial planning, and content development for internal and external messages across different communication channels.
  • Manage proactive and reactive media relations to generate and shape news coverage of the Group.
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of activities required for successful attendance of external conferences, seminars, fairs, exhibitions and any other events.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution activities required for the successful hosting of corporate events.
  • Manage the company's digital / social media


Job Specifications

Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum of B.Sc. in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Media & Broadcasting or related field


  • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in a Marketing/Corporate Communications role of a Group business and Marketing/Branding Agency with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Experience working on successful rebranding or marketing campaigns.
  • Strong technical writing and business writing skills with the ability to produce compelling and professional written content for publication via reputable international and regional news media.
  • Strong capabilities in media content development, marketing communication, media relations, digital marketing, event marketing, and brand management.
  • Internal   External Communications Management including Crises Mgt,  Marketing Communication et al
  • High personal ambitions, drive and strong work ethic
