Responsibilities

We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Systems Support Tech working our Edmonton office, but will be supporting various other locations in Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company offering excellent career progression and working within an established global leader in the Energy Industry.

 

  • Responsibility for maintaining hardware and software in Desktop environment including custom "Images". Support System Software Management (SCCM) queries, reports and other various task sequencing projects
  • Understanding of programming languages such as "scripting", .NET, HTA, WISE, Auto IT and VBS for automation, tools and assistance to SCCM support.
  • Knowledge of application virtualization and or equivalent using Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) and associated tools. SharePoint Administration of on-going projects and documentation. Knowledge of SQL (2005-08) Implementation, database support and backup procedures.
  • Assist management in ongoing projects and served as interim team lead to other Analyst as assigned by supervisor/Manager.
  • Ability to self start and problem solve on their own with support from IT Houston as required.
  • Close interaction with other IT staff and clients of IT who are seeking assistance/answers

 


Qualifications

 

 

 

  • Responsibility for providing primary level I computer telephone and remote support to employees and others across the company/Canada
  • Typically works as part of a global help desk team
  • Close interaction with other IT staff and clients of IT who are seeking assistance/answers
  • Compenshive knowledge imaging, load onto PC Microsoft windows
  • 4-5+ years related experience
  • High School diploma (or Secondarry school diploma) Preferred 2 years College degree
