At Eni, we are looking for a HEAD OF FIELDS HSE OPERATION within Eni Angola in Luanda. You will be responsible for implementing and controlling the enforcement of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) System, to identify, evaluate and develop improvements, making sure that everyone is working safely and in compliance with the established guidelines and procedures. You will be reporting to the HSE Operations Manager.

As a member of The Operations Department at Eni Angola S.P.A you will be responsible for:
  • Participating in the preparation of the budget necessary for his area of activity, providing data on the recommended projects, materials, and tools.
  • Supervising the costs, ensuring that the expenses are consistent with the approved budget.
  • Identifying the resources necessary for efficient implementation of all the Health, Safety and Environment Areas activities in the Company's operations.
  • Alerting in advance his immediate superior for the need of licenses related to HSE which may become necessary for the safe and sustainable development of the HSE Operations activities.
  • Disclosing the approved HSE policies, practices, and procedures to his employees and to all those responsible for Areas, ensuring that they all understand their duties in implementing them and support their principles.
  • Ensuring that the employees carry out their duties in perfect safety conditions, responsibly and in full compliance with the established guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutes and regulations.
  • Making sure that all Areas and Departments have and use the assigned Safety Sheets, for all products and consumables used in the Company.
  • Preparing and keeping the HSE Manual updated, containing all the rules and procedures to be followed by the Company.
  • Ensuring compliance with all national and international statutes and regulations.
  • Ensuring that the developed logistic processes meet the standards established by the Company's strategy.
  • Supervising the monthly safety records, comparing historical and estimated data.
  • Creating and developing preventive maintenance systems at Department level.
  • Analysing all ongoing projects and identifying the resources necessary to meet the HSE requirements
  • Conducting a proactive analysis of the risks inherent to the Company's activity.
  • Investigating the causes of the recorded incidents, reporting the appropriate conclusions to the immediate superior.
  • Ensuring that the proposed corrective measures are being implemented.
  • Ensuring that the corrective measures taken, due to any detected defect or non-compliance, will give rise to a continuous improvement process.
  • Carrying out audit of all aspects of the HSE system, ensuring their compliance and improvement.
  • Supporting in checking that all Departments are following approved procedures, based on an internal audit program.
  • Ensuring that all statutes and regulations are being met at the Company.
  • Ensuring that all the documentation related to any project is properly managed according to the requirements of that project.
  • Ensuring that all activities are duly controlled and documented.
  • Monitoring the closure of all processes resulting from assessment audits, non-compliance reports and anomaly reports, properly reporting them to his immediate superior.

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements :
  • Fluent Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer knowledge from user's point of view.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety at Work.
  • Very good knowledge of the Angolan regulatory legislation, in Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Company's HSES regulatory policies.
  • Very good knowledge of Auditing Techniques.
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
  • Knowledge of planning and budgeting.
  • Practice in scheduling and controlling tasks and indicators drafting and interpreting.
  • Education at graduate level or higher in: Quality Management; Labour Safety
  • Previous experience in the field Environmental Engineering Or similar.
