Responsibilities

Reporting to the Asia Geozone IES (Interpretation and Evaluation Services) Manager, Geoscientist will be responsible for basic well log QAQC, processing and interpretation of data acquired from open hole Wireline and/or MWD/LWD instruments, and presenting the results to customers and/or sales engineers. May include the processing and interpretation of image log and acoustic log data with some potential for borehole seismic processing and other Petrophysical measurements. They will also be responsible for generating final log plots, reports, conversion of data into other formats and archival of completed work.

  • Provide basic log QAQC, processing & analysis on Wireline and or MWD/LWD well log data.
  • Generate log print, reports and deliver final deliverables to customer.
  • Maintain timely data archiving and storage.
  • Provide technical support to the marketing team and clients.
  • Provide support for image log processing and interpretation where required.
  • Provide support for acoustic log processing and interpretation where required.
  • Provide support for borehole seismic operations where required.
  • Meet deadlines


Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Geosciences
  • 2-5 years of related oil field experience within Wireline and/or MWD/LWD operations and/or interpretation and evaluation.
  • Have knowledge of Geology and Formation Evaluation.
  • Experience with Acoustics and/or image processing and interpretation is desirable.
  • Experience in Borehole seismic will be considered.
    Be familiar with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, priorities or work environments.
  • Good presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Be a self-starter and eager to learn in the field and office environment.
