Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Under broad direction, responsible for implementing or managing the implementation of programs, policies, procedures and processes in support of the Company's carbon footprint management strategies.
  • Provides expert technical advice to operations, real estate services, finance and legal personnel, and manages all budget, schedule, technical content and regulatory aspects of carbon reduction initiatives on a global basis.
  • Serves as primary subject matter expert in support of customer requests related to greenhouse gas inventory, management, and reduction.
  • Represents the company in relevant industry associations
  • Other duties include: presentations, report writing, development of training and associated materials, interpretation of data, standards, codes and regulations.
  • Must maintain professional knowledge of a wide variety of greenhouse gas reporting standards/guidelines, regulations and issues, as well as proposed changes. Must be familiar with industry related approaches on scoping and boundaries.
  • In addition, the position may develop new programs and make improvements to management systems as required in response to changes necessitated by business markets and clients.
  • Facilitation and leadership of focused teams is common, as well as interface at all organizational levels and regulatory agencies
  • Provides leadership and technical direction to other less experienced personnel. Called upon to manage medium to large projects including functional project teams.
  • Assignments will not be generally well defined and will require a high degree of initiative and technical expertise to determine best approach to problem solving. Must be able to interface and present to audiences at various levels of the organization.
  • Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a science or engineering discipline to include 10+ years' work experience. Industry related experience is a plus.
  • Advanced degree preferred to include 7-10 (5 - 10) years relevant experience.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Good computer and research skills required.
