In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations activities for IAPM (Asset Performance monitoring). The Operations Lead is responsible for managing 24X7 support working with peers

As a Staff Application Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing a vendor support team of technical and functional experts, interacting directly with other cross-functional support teams for timely resolution of production application issues
  • Working with Infra team and users for prioritization of critical issues and work towards resolution in conformance to Operations support standards / practices
  • Being responsible for managing the application version matrix and managing the changes, patch application testing, coordination and communication for outages etc.
  • Conducting performance and Ops reviews for the leadership and stakeholders by using and owning established Service Delivery metrics.
  • Working with cross P&L teams ensuring system availability and minimal planned and unplanned outages.
  • Working with IM Risk and Security team and ensure all the Security and controllership requirements are met including policies, standards and documents
  • Serving as domain expert and drive / be accountable for operational excellence as well as stabilization of Operations into OM process area
  • Configuring tools/system to monitor the application and pro-actively build and improve the support work flow and tools
  • Interfacing with Application Arch, Security engineer, and Infra Architect to align implementations and drives outcomes through the eyes of customer success
  • Planning and executing the approved infra/application changes in a specific change window working with Application support focal. Also, Set up the changes request process working with Application support focal
  • Monitoring and optimizing cloud/infra performance and assure application/infra security in a high availability environment.


Fuel your passion, To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have bachelor's in Engineering "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 6 yrs. of professional experience with Azure or AWS operations (monitoring and support).
  • Have hands on experience on Industrial solutions deployed for Oil & Gas and Energy vertical.
  • Have experience with S1 Core or any other Asset Performance monitoring solution is preferred.
  • Have prior experience on deploying and monitoring such solution. Also, have experience of implementing Operation processes such as UM, back up mgmt., GDPR, monitoring or other data protection guidelines
  • Have hands on experience in troubleshooting infrastructure in different environments along with experience with Networking, Firewalls, DNS, Active directory
  • Have experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Have experience in Application & Infrastructure Monitoring Tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, New Relic, Nagios, Azure log analytics, log insight
  • Have prior experience working for IT /OT networking. Also, Hands on experience in implementing security guidelines for applications.
  • Have hands on experience setting up IOT based application infrastructure and interfaces such MQTT, AMQP, OPC UA. Also candidates with field/plant experience preferred.
