Develop plans, manufacturing processes, and machinery to improve manufacturing throughout and reduce cost. Maintain control of plant and mechanical and electrical maintenance programs to assure effective/efficient equipment of performance at lowest expense. Supervise and coordinate the implementation of manufacturing capital improvement projects. Oversee functional work group activities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
  • Develop reports of manufacturing activity.
  • Coordinate shop activities affecting the manufacturing facility.
  • Help develop manufacturing capacities and initiate new methods.
  • Investigate cost reduction proposals.
  • Coordinate shop improvements, fixtures tooling, etc.
  • Coordinate a value engineering program.
  • Understand the concept of plant capacity constraints and throughput cost.
  • Improve plant throughput with the new application of manufacturing technology.
  • Evaluate and justify capital improvements using throughput costs and good accounting and manufacturing principles.
  • Design plan layouts.
  • Manage the implementation process for capital projects.
  • Complete other tasks within physical demands of position, as assigned by Operations Manager.
  • Manage plant maintenance functions.
  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
