Overview / Responsibilities

Massy Wood Ltd. is currently seeking expressions of interest for several Construction roles (listed below) for a potential project to be based in Trinidad.

Construction Management:

  • Review and optimize construction activities work breakdown structure (WBS) for assigned project(s) based on the relevant Project Management Methodology (PMM) Stage Gate requirements.
  • Review and optimize construction project scope and documentation with input from all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and optimize construction activities input into the integrated project execution plan for assigned project(s) including looking for opportunities within the portfolio of projects, and in line with oil and gas and petrochemical industry codes and standards.
  • Review and optimize construction activities manhours, resource allocation and cost estimate for assigned project(s).
  • Review and optimize integrated schedule based on agreed WBS for assigned project(s) in line with Scheduling guidelines and internal and/or external benchmarks.
  • Review and optimize construction tendering plan for assigned project(s) seeking savings


Construction Engineering:

  • Develop and optimize construction activities work breakdown structure (WBS) for assigned project(s) based on the relevant Project Management Methodology (PMM) Stage Gate requirements.
  • Develop and optimize construction project scope and documentation with input from all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and optimize construction activities input into the integrated project execution plan for assigned project(s) including looking for opportunities within the portfolio of projects, and in line with oil and gas and petrochemical industry codes and standards.
  • Develop and optimize construction activities manhours, resource allocation and cost estimate for assigned project(s)..


Construction Site Supervision:

  • Develop and optimize construction activities work breakdown structure (WBS) for assigned project(s) based on the relevant Project Management Methodology (PMM) Stage Gate requirements.
  • Develop and optimize construction project scope and documentation with input from all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and optimize construction activities input into the integrated project execution plan for assigned project(s) including looking for opportunities within the portfolio of projects, and in line with oil and gas and petrochemical industry codes and standards.
  • Develop and optimize construction activities manhours, resource allocation and cost estimate for assigned project(s).
  • Develop and optimize integrated construction schedule based on agreed WBS for assigned project(s) in line with Scheduling guidelines and internal and/or external benchmarks.


Construction Site Inspection:

  • Implement Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) plan requirements during the construction phases of the assigned project(s)
  • Identify construction site risks or issues and mitigations and flag to Construction Supervisor and/or Construction Manager or Project Manager and ensure worked through to closure.
  • Identify interface management risk or issues and mitigations and flag to Construction Supervisor and/or Construction Manager or Project Manager and ensure worked through to closure.
  • Provide daily reports of site activities to Construction Supervisor and/or Construction Manager or Project Manager.
  • Ensure all relevant site documentation are accurately prepared, reviewed and signed off and stored in Document Management System for archiving and retrieval.


Skills / Qualifications

  • First Degree in Engineering (BSc, BEng).
  • Membership of a professional body preferred.
  • Typically a minimum of 5-10 years' relevant experience.
  • National citizen or permanent resident of Trinidad & Tobago
