Halliburton Drill Bits & Services (HDBS) is a Product Service Line in the Drilling and Evaluation segment of Halliburton which provides Drill Bits, Down Hole Tools and Coring Services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and worldwide. We design and manufacture drill bits, coring bits and down hole tools (DHT), execute coring and reaming operations at the wellsite and deliver world class operational advice.

We are seeking a goal-oriented colleague with an innovative spirit who may contribute to business growth. As an Applications Engineer at HDBS, you will be a member of a performance driven cross-disciplinary team addressing offshore drilling challenges.

Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Technical support function for the sales team and drilling operations team
  • Performance evaluation of drill bits, down hole tools, coring bits and services.
  • Recommendation of future improvements and equipment modification
  • Participate in integrated project teams
  • Downhole and surface data analyses
  • Log interpretation and formation evaluation

  • Master (MSc) or Bachelor (BSc) within petroleum technology, geology or natural science. Lack of formal education can be compensated with relevant experience
  • Fluency in English language, oral and written

  • Practical and mechanically oriented
  • Self-starter with ability to work on their own but also as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills
  • Solution oriented, flexible and adaptive
  • The position requires that you champion the Company's HSE procedures.
