Our client is looking for an Apprentice Draughtsperson for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.


The Apprentice Draughtsperson will complete a structured 4 year engineering program covering all technical competences to fulfil the role of a draughtsperson. This program will include attending college and obtaining a HNC in Mechanical Engineering.

To provide draughting services for the company as directed by the Drawing Office Training Coordinator


Apprentice Draughtspersons will be trained to perform the activities assigned to Draughtspersons. The key activities for Draughtsperson are summarised below:

Draughtsman Activities:

  • Identify any key draughting issues or problems within the Drawing Office and inform the Drawing Office Manager.
  • Draughting interface and support for UKBU, TMOS, RP&IT or any other client.
  • Review and checking of technical drawings to ensure they comply to office procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as requested by the Drawing Office Manager



  • School Leaver Requirements - required at Nat. 5 Grade B or above:
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science (preferably Physics)
  • Craft Subject (Craft & Design / Graphic Communication)

College Leaver Requirements:

  • In addition to above: NC and/or HNC Mechanical Engineering


  • An eye for detail and creative talent with a keen interest in graphic communication
