Role Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with design experience within the subsea sector, with the ability to challenge conventional design methods to drive improvement. This role will focus primarily on innovative design and optimisation of sub systems and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV) but will also include some work towards surface vessel design and launch.

Required Experience:

  • Engineering Degree, Naval Architecture, Structural/ Mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with Subsea mechanical Design.
  • 3D Modelling Software (PTC Creo Preferred)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Structural Analysis Experience with FEA Software.
  • Technical Understanding of subsea Vehicle motion and Fluid Dynamics.
  • Good working knowledge of different engineering materials and corrosion.
