Working with the UK Head of Commercial & Business Management and the UK Management Team, the role is responsible for leading UK business development activities and the pursuit of new business opportunities to increase Company revenue and EBIT.
Whilst engagement with existing Oil & Gas clients may be required, the primary focus of the role will be on market development and market diversification opportunities to support business growth and our clients strategy for a strong and sustainable future.

Role & Responsibilities

Develop and deliver new market and customer entry strategies for our clients offerings
Identify, qualify and develop new market segments, new customer segments, and new geographies for existing Client services and capabilities
Establish new market and new customer demands, timings and requirements and communicate these internally to drive our clients marketing strategy
Through close working relationships and regular communications with business managers, maintain knowledge of all our clients offerings, capabilities and capacities to support business development activities
Work with business managers to develop strategic action plans and targets to deliver new business
Establish and maintain an effective knowledge and awareness of the service offerings of competitors
Liaise closely with Operations and Commercial teams, ensuring that Technical expertise and knowledge is accessed and utilised as appropriate.
Liaise closely with the Marketing team to ensure opportunities for effective marketing are identified.
Assume accountability for the successful closure of business deals and handover to operations.
Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with prospective customers, ensuring that the Company is aware of and at the forefront of bidding and tendering opportunities.
Through effective networking and attendance at industry events, conferences and seminars, ensure a high level of positive exposure for our client in promoting its service offerings
Seek out opportunities to meet with, and present to, prospective/existing clients and to ensure they have a full awareness of our clients service lines which may be of interest to them.
Measure and report on business development activities
Communicate market opportunities, needs and customer feedback across the organisation.
Develop HubSpot throughout the Group as the CRM tool for our clients business.
Maintain accurate records in HubSpot and shared directories to ensure transparency across the business
Provide input to commercial tenders to enable appropriate strategies to be developed.

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)

Experience of working within a sales or new business development environment with a track record of identifying opportunities and closing deals
Computer literate with well-developed IT skills including Microsoft Office suite, general database programs, internet and web deployed communication, bespoke software apps and sales software tools
Extensive knowledge of, and experience of working within, the UK Oil and Gas Industry
Effective influencer with demonstrable experience in building and maintaining positive and professional work and client relationships
Deadline focused - ability to self-manage delivery to customer and internal timelines
Solutions based analytical and strategic thinker, with the ability to problem solve and identify effective solutions

Minimum Qualifications

* Degree qualified in a relevant subject (Business Management)
* Full UK driving licence
