CCU (Cargo Carrying Unit) Yard Controller

Reporting to the CCU Team Leader, this role will be responsible for control of the CCU's at our clients Warehouse site.
The CCU Yard Controller will ensure inspection and turnaround of CCUs are completed efficiently, will deliver accurate allocation of CCU's and maintain on base stock levels in support of Company / Client operations.

Role responsibilities include:

Provide full control and supervision of CCU's
Facilitate the allocation of empty Cargo Carrying Units (CCU's) in accordance with Client requirements via CMS
Log and raise Non-Conformance Reports in relation to CCU quality
Carry out on base stock checks
Complete Consignment Notes and Cargo Summary Tickets for transportation of CCUs offsite from Company Quayside
Inspection of CCU's and, where certified, undertake forklift duties when required
Assist with additional yard duties as specified by line management when required
Produce client CCU reports inline with client requirements
Ensure that formal procedures, standing instructions and safety standards are complied with at all times.
Continuously promote a pro-active HSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance.
Present a positive image of the company through first class service delivery and customer engagement.
Build effective relationships across the business by continually seeking to improve operations.

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)

Relevant practical experience and a working knowledge of CCU's
Customer focused and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships, both internal and external.
Effective planning and organising skills with a consciencious approach to completing tasks and an excellent attention to detail.
Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly in Outlook and Excel
