Responsibilities

  • Develop audit strategy to address prior audit/Assurance recommendations and company risk
  • Ensure site audit plans are developed by the site with consolidated audit plans by the Geozone for operations that are aligned with the QMS
  • Collaborate with site quality contacts to ensure internal audits are conducted in a timely manner and adequate preparation is done for external audits
  • Ensure sites document audit findings in our approved tools; ensure Global Manufacturing Director and Geozone Quality Managers are following through to ensure findings are addressed adequately and timely
  • Conduct trend analyses to evaluate consistent concern and develop relevant actions to address
  • Ensure the severity ratings of findings are appropriate (major/minor/requires correction/observation) and proper assignment of actions to functional owners
  • Simplify and standardize audit checklists
  • Provide leadership for API/ ISO and other 3rd party (external) audits required to ensure compliance to industry requirements or contract compliance
  • Evaluate new audit tools in replacement of WPTS; align with IT, Geozone Quality Managers and Manufacturing Quality Director on evaluation, next steps, and implementation as applicable
  • Develop or outsource Audit training - API training and Auditor training; ensure prioritized plan to conduct training by site and cross-functionally
  • Develop competencies for Auditors; develop process to evaluate auditor competencies, track in Weatherford tools, and ensure we are utilizing competent cross-functional auditors to audit
  • Collaborate with the Quality Management System Manager to ensure updates to the QMS are updated in the relevant audit plans
  • Collaborate with the Quality Management System Manager to ensure consistent (trended) audit issues are understood and assessed as to changes required in the QMS, if any

Provide monthly updates on Audit completion, audit findings, and improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience as Quality Leader, QMS or Audit Leader in an Oil and Gas manufacturing environment or industrial environment.
  • 8+ years of experience in ISO 9001 and API
  • Demonstrated experience with quality management systems, audits, third parties, and customer interaction
  • Proven experience is rolling out audit programs aligned with quality management systems, regulatory requirements and business risks
  • Internal Auditing experience
  • Document management and control experience
  • Proven experience leading in global environments
  • Demonstrated strong writing skills; able to synthesize and simplify
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to evoke critical thinking
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills between functions - verbal and written
  • Ability to coordinate with customers and third party inspectors
  • Ability to travel occasionally for an audit or QMS training (less than 10% of time)
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
