The LNG Project Engineer will be responsible for the following :
  • Assist the Project Engineering Manager in the administration of the project and provides technical oversight and coordination of design engineering.
  • Focal point for technical issues/coordination between Engineering Disciplines, Suppliers, Fabrication, Construction and Owner
  • Expedite the flow of technical information
  • Understand contractual requirements and communicate to team
  • Facilitate communication between discipline leaders and discipline engineers
  • Assist in the development of the detailed engineer schedule
  • Ensure engineering deliverable are produced in accordance with Project Schedule
  • Monitor quality of design work
  • Monitor suppliers compliance with purchase order conditions
  • Closeout of Management / resolution of Management of Change program (MOC) action items
  • Communicate scope and design changes to the Project Team
  • Development and management of the Technical Query and Deviation Request Processes
  • Actively support safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives
  • Actively support constructability program and communicate constructability issues to discipline engineers
  • Assist with project closeout and turnover of deliverable
  • Working knowledge of API, FERC and other industry codes and requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction
  • 7-10 years of hydrocarbon oil and gas project experience
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral, supported by inter-personal skills that support working at a senior level
  • Team player with a mindset to work with a global team and with diverse cultures
  • Ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with peers and partner representatives to influence decisions or ways of working
  • Ability to coach, mentor and share knowledge in both formal and informal settings
  • Excellent written and presentation skills with ability to explain technical matters to staff not conversant with the detailed technical area
  • Able to manage time effectively, both own time and that of a team to achieve delivery of work against agreed schedules
  • Self-starter with a strong delivery focus and good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience of working on projects with multiple interfaces
  • The candidate will be required to travel domestically
