Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Space Coordinator Office for our Houston, TX Office. Due to the scope of this position the successful candidate will be required to be based in the Houston / Katy Campus. This is a temporary (anticipated three months) opportunity and local candidates are preferred as there will be no relocation assistance and / or per diem provided.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required



  • Responsible for managing projects related to project space allocation to support the needs of the company
  • Process move and space requests initiated by projects and departments
  • Maintain floor plans and space coordination systems
  • Coordinate project and department space needs and relocations requests with management and project staff
  • Coordinate with internal Move Supervisor on relocation needs related to the Office Movers and/or Furniture
  • Process New Hires, Client Facility Request Forms, Client Demobilization Forms, and Relocation Requests from Office Assignment SharePoint site
  • Process Farewells, Not in Office and Return to Office from email distribution lists
  • Enter Data in departmental database and run reports off database
  • Maintain and check building drawings to ensure accurate occupancy information
  • Conduct ongoing quality assurance checks of office buildings against floorplans to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate with Administrative Support Group to ensure proper workflows are utilized
  • Coordinate with the IT & Information Management Departments on relocations and database issues
  • Coordinate with Facility Management and Building Maintenance for construction and repair projects associated with relocation and/or furniture needs
  • Assist with on-site supervision of large relocation projects as needed
  • Order nameplates for New Hires and replacements as needed
  • Print and deliver an updated set of floor plans on the 1st of each month to various employees
  • Other duties as defined by the Facility Project Manager

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to plan and schedule tasks
  • Flexible and can adapt and prioritize tasks easily
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • College degree preferred, but not required


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience and/or knowledge of engineering projects
  • Experience in Relocations, Facility Services/Management Departments
  • Experience in a scheduling or planning role
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:



  • Excellent planning and organizational skills including scheduling
  • Experience with documentation & electronic record keeping
  • Ability with MS Word and MS Excel with intermediate proficiency
  • Ability with (or willingness to learn) pdf editing software
