Commercial Director

Part of the senior project leadership team, would interface directly with key project stakeholders and contractors. Has the overall responsibility for managing relationships with government and contractors.

Reports to: CEO; Program Director(structure N-1)

This position is responsible for:



  • Development and implementation of the commercial strategy incl. project delivery structure
  • Negotiating and delivering key project commercial and financial agreements (incl. EPC contracts)
  • Leading a cross function organization of key project stakeholders to identify and resolve significant business and commercial issues affecting the project
  • Establishment of key project agreement governance model within the organization
  • Development and managing of a commercial team
  • Providing day to day management of employees under their control
  • Preparing and maintaining business case for the NPP Program
  • Supporting of development and implementation of the financial strategy and plan
  • Leading complex negotiations
  • Overseeing contract commercial relationships
  • Overseeing the administration of vendor assessment
  • Providing support to the procurement process
  • Providing data and information regarding project risk management, claims analysis and claims avoidance in commercial area
  • Implementing policies and standards as set by the Company regulations







  • Extensive experience within Commercial Contract Management in the field of large scale construction/infrastructure or complex projects
  • Experience in forming commercial, contracting strategy for complex projects delivery
  • Experience in nuclear projects would be highly desirable
  • Commercial issue resolution methods including mediation, arbitration, and formal dispute resolution
  • Abilities to interface/navigate between a group of subject matter experts in their respective areas who support him/her on commercial negotiations/issue resolution
  • Experience associated with interfacing and negotiating with complex EPC contracts is a must
  • Track record working with NEC and FIDIC contracts in the power construction industry and major projects
  • 15 years commercial experience preferred
  • Proven supervisory or management record
