Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an immediate requirement for Network Engineer to join our team, working a rotation based on site in Tengiz, Kazakhstan.

The Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP) represents the next major expansion of the Tengiz oilfield in Kazakhstan. FGP-WPMP plant facilities will use sour gas injection technology to increase Tengiz crude oil production.

As a Network / Server Engineer you will: you will be able to work within a multi-discipline team environment and be capable of coordinating and interfacing with multiple teams (client and MAC) associated with project network, server and cyber security requirements. The associated project requirements cover SAT, commissioning support and technical aspects of the Process Automation System (PAS).

Your role will co-ordinate and support the systems completions process for PAS system infrastructure, configuration and SAT testing activities on the Gathering (Cluster-52), Cluster-53 thru to Cluster-55), 3GP, 3GI, IOCC project and including Brownfield tie-ins. Includes supporting the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up of PAS systems.

Reporting to the MAC Field Team Lead (Networks), you will be responsible for:

 

  • Working with Client's PCN Infrastructure team to maintain and monitor the PAS system networks and serv ers, as well as providing network and server related plans and documentation.
  • Leading the planning and execution for the set-up and SAT testing of network and serverinfrastructures for PAS systems at remote RIEs and Field Office Operational Buildings.
  • Leading the implementation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of complex server configurations and network policies for PAS systems.
  • Proactive identification and resolution of network, server and cyber security issues with PAS systems before they become critical.
  • Being the technical focal point for supervisory and technical queries related to server system configuration and network.
  • Developing conceptual sketches / drawings as necessary to determine the most simple, efficient approach to solving network and server engineering issues and shortcomings.
  • Establishing and / or updating processes to ensure the latest revisions of network, server and PAS system documentation are utilized by Engineers for the set-up and testing of PAS systems and are Red Lined Marked-up (RLMU) to reflect all design changes.

Skills / Qualifications

Ideally you will have 10+ years of relevant experience working in a similar Automation / Control / Information technology role within the Oil & Gas industry and hold c ertification in the following:

 

 

  • CISCO Certified Network / Design / Security Professional
  • CWSP - Certified Wireless Security Professional or similar experience


What will set you apart will be you proven knowledge and experience across:

 

 

  • Honeywell Process Automation System (PAS)
  • Industrial networking, server builds and operation


You must be qualified to degree level. The degree must in an Engineering discipline associated with Automation / Control/ Information Technology and is a requirement is to ensure an appropriate person is selected for the position, in addition to achieving work permit and visa requirements.
