GENERAL TERMS

· This job description sets out the duties, rights, and responsibilities of the Lead heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Engineer of "WOOD KSS" JSC (hereinafter referred to as the "JSC");

· Appointment and dismissal of Lead heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Engineer is made by the order of the General Director of JSC;

· During absence of Lead heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Engineer (vacation, illness, etc.), his/her duties are performed by the person assigned by the order of the General Director of JSC, who will bear overall responsibility for their performance;

· Lead heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Engineer shall follow:

· Current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

· Guiding and regulatory documents;

· Internal labour regulations;

· JSC's rules and standards for executing documents;

· Orders, instructions and directives of the JSC's General Director;

· This job description.

OBJECTIVE

· contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work, providing discipline expertise to the business, supporting and supervising task delegation to team;

· contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work, providing discipline expertise to the business, supporting and supervising task delegation to team;

· uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems;

· Completes almost any engineering tasks with minimal guidance and direction;

· may serve as the primary discipline engineer or discipline technical authority on projects with small to medium complexity;

· performs engineering assignments, usually representing a significant portion of a larger project;

· Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations;

· applies specific area(s) of expertise in own discipline area;

· in consultancy businesses, may review and manages complex projects within area of expertise or of a multi-disciplinary nature.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Engineer:

· develops, reviews and executes project deliverables, units, elements of specifications, etc. on HVAC discipline;

· designs and supervises design of HVAC systems of a facility;

· models HVAC systems;

· sizes and selects HVAC equipment;

· ensures that the requirements of the existing sanitary, ecological, fire safety norms are met during HVAC systems operation;

· ensures that the quality of design and specifications meet Client's standards and requirements;

· participates in project deliverables issue in all design phases (pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design) ;

· ready to grasp and properly handle challenging situations during design process organisation;

· liaises and builds good relationships with supervisory and expert agencies;

· maintain records;

· manages development of engineering deliverables within company and industry standards and codes, from specifications and detailed drawings;

· responsible for design, specification, drawings, selection and services relating to HVAC and mechanical equipment.

RESPONSIBILITY

Lead heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Engineer is responsible for:

· for failure to perform (improper performance of) of his/her duties covered by this job description, within the limits defined by labour legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

· for offenses committed in the course of its activities, within limits defined by administrative, criminal, and civil legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

· for damage of the property, within limits defined by labour and civil legislation of Republic of Kazakhstan;

· for proactive support and compliance with JSC Life Saving rules;

· for work within the JSC core values framework at all times driving safety as our top priority;

· for contribution to delivery of the planned work scopes in an efficient and timely manner.

Skills / Qualifications

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
  • higher (technical) education;
  • work experience in the respective position no less than 5 year.


Knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • ability to provide guidance and direction to project team, managing, motivating and mentoring professional engineering specialists;
  • ability to discover issues and recommend solutions to technical and commercial issues uncovered during course of performing assignments;
  • proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates;
  • professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution;
  • professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards;
  • technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards;
  • maintains own knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promotes to direct reports;
  • applies mature professional knowledge and experience to assignments where issues and factors to be considered may be characterized by unsual demands and require additional evaluation to establish the nature and scope of the problem;
  • demonstrated ability to apply advanced laws, principles, mathematics or industry knowledge in the improvement and development of designs;
  • demonstrated skills in persuasion, negotiation, motivation and communication;
  • demonstrated proficiency in project planning;
  • possess a working knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, and general understanding of other Wood business offerings;
  • requires mature professional knowledge in planning and conducting assignments having scope for co-ordination of difficult tasks;
  • proficiency in English at an advanced level (written and oral).
