Overview / Responsibilities

Wood (trading locally as JSC WOOD KSS) is currently recruiting for a Senior PAS Hardware Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Tengiz (KZ passport holders).

Senior PAS Hardware Engineer shall be able to provide Construction support by:

 

  • Ensure Safety in design and HSE requirements
  • Writing Design Change Notifications (DCN)
  • Defining scope for PAS modifications
  • Ensure the technical integrity is achieved for the instrumentation & control systems activities
  • Submitting Material Requisitions (MR)
  • Resolving engineering issues listed as Punch List
  • Red Line construction drawings
  • Writing Technical Exception Authorizations
  • Performing Site Surveys and Reports
  • Undertake internal QA checks on discipline activities and deliverables
  • Writing Job Packs and Method Statements
  • Writing data sheets
  • Analyse and make instrumentation calculations (Control valve, level set up)

 


Skills / Qualifications

Technical degree preferred in relevant engineering subject

8-12 years experience in control systems

8-12 years in field instrumentation

8-12 years experience in working in Construction and Commissioning sites.

Senior PAS Hardware Engineer shall have practical experience and knowledge in the followings topics:

 

 

  • Industrial safety
  • Control/Safety/F&G knowledge
  • SPI concepts
  • Network and infrastructure concepts
  • Field Instrumentation
  • Electrical knowledge
  • HVAC/UPS
  • Very good communications skills in spoken and written English language
  • Safety mind set
  • Proactive personality and team player
  • Self motivated and self-starter
  • Handle work pressure
  • Excellent working/personal relationships in a multicultural project environment
