The role would ideally suit someone who has predominantly worked in the past, building OEM & Non- OEM equipment.

We require a candidate with experience delivering packaged equipment spreads (e.g. cementing units, pumping units, high-pressure testing units), from design through to fabrication, assembly & testing.

You will work closely with the project team and be able to work independently. It is important the candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate must have the competence to create project documentation. The applicant must be able to comprehend client comments and have the capability to update documents accordingly with an understanding of impact on the overall project.

The role may will include reviewing workshop activities and ensuring compliance with approved instructions. You should be able to assist in procuring materials and equipment, ensuring that it is compliant with the requirements and be able to liaise with the procurement team and suppliers to obtain quotations and place orders. Activities will also include working with draughtsmen to compile as-built drawings when required.

The applicant should be assertive, organised, flexible, and quality orientated. The position is office-based in Aberdeen but may require travel to other sites where applicable.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to Project Team and assembly/installation personnel.
  • Ensure all documents are created & submitted as per MDRL and logged accordingly.
  • Issue and control document transmittals between client & between sub vendors.
  • Ability to comprehend project specifications and ensure compliance.
  • Ability to review/mark-up drawings and documents.
  • Capability to understand P&ID, fabrication, piping, assembly drawings and work with draughtsmen, sub vendors & the assembly team to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate all concerns, suggestions, ideas and improvements to the Engineering Manager on a regular basis.
  • Create technical queries and progress to completion with client.
  • Respond to client technical queries.
  • Liaise with suppliers, ensuring all deliverables comply with project requirements.
  • Create, update, and maintain work instructions and equipment manuals.
  • Compile weekly report.
  • Assist as necessary with equipment testing and interacting with client Inspectors.

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

Minimum Experience:
  • Good understanding of Engineering and Oil and Gas related technical requirements.
  • Experience with cementing units, pumping units, high-pressure testing units or similar packages.
  • Knowledge of onshore/offshore equipment manufacture builds.
  • Interpretation of mechanical & fabrication drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Electrical understanding would be advantageous.
  • A strong knowledge and working experience of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Teams, Word, MS Project, Excel & Outlook is essential
  • Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.
  • Able to apportion time effectively to complete tasks.
  • A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems.
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous.

Role Is Based in Aberdeen:
