We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Downstream Global Manufacturing Academy (DGMA).
DGMA is responsible for providing our Downstream employees with the training and technical knowledge required to optimize our team performance.
Your primary role will be to create training curriculums and materials in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs). You will do this through integrating the best practices of instructional design and instructional technology through the use of multimedia, software, programming, and state of the art technology.
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge transfer.
State instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
Maintain project documentation and course folders.
You must hold a Bachelor Degree in instructional design, educational technology or the equivalent. A Master degree is preferred.
You should have a minimum of 8 years experience. You should have proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
A thorough knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models is essential.
You should be able to demonstrate lesson and curriculum planning skills.
A solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
You should also be able to demonstrate the ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
