Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Consultant with experience and knowledge of multi-disciplinary sectors across industries. The successful candidate will support our current maintenance team as well as being involved in strategic growth strategies and customer-focused relationships. Wood are flexible on the location of this role.

Wood's new Lead Maintenance Consultant will work with internal and external stakeholders to:
  • Provide subject matter discipline input and consultancy across maintenance, reliability, and asset management work scopes, which may include the following specific activities: maintenance strategy development; critical spares reviews; maintenance data builds; data cleansing; reliability, availability and maintainability modelling; FMEA / RCM; RCAs; and criticality assessments
  • Provide input to and technical leadership on maintenance data building, cleansing and optimization projects
  • Undertake project reviews in accordance with Wood's review and checking procedures, and provide feedback to maintenance team and project processes
  • Review and approve assigned Wood deliverables
  • Have wide awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
  • Provide maintenance consultancy technical support to the wider Wood business
  • Ensure that Wood delivery methodologies incorporate industry recognized best practices
  • Provide consultancy specific input to scope definition and execution for business development proposals and new project work scopes
  • Manage budgets, costs, and resourcing for assigned projects
  • Prepare monthly cost and progress reports and attending client performance review meetings for assigned projects

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Time served or degree qualified with industrial experience as a maintenance consultant
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Performance (CMRP) certification advantageous

Minimum Experience:
  • Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
  • D emonstrated experience building excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance consulting theory
  • Diligent and dependable in consistent application of established process
  • Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written communication [technical report writing]

Discipline Specific (Mandatory):
  • Maintenance data builds and data optimization projects
  • Development and application of qualitative risk-based maintenance tools
  • Maintenance, repairs, and spares strategy development

Discipline Specific (Not mandatory but considered advantageous):
  • Asset reliability, availability, and maintainability
  • Asset economics and application of whole lifecycle costing principles
  • Quantitative risk and reliability techniques
  • CMMS, EAM or ERP implementation projects
  • Inventory management
