Wood is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for an opportunity available for a Quality Assurance Representative to support construction projects in the vicinity of Orlando, Florida.
The Quality Assurance Representative will support ongoing construction projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District. This individual is anticipated to provide support on a construction projects in the Orlando area, possibly at Wilson Armed Forces Reserve Center and other facilities in the area. This work may require frequent and recurring construction inspections, which includes walking, climbing, stooping and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain. This individual should have previous construction management experience, preferably in the state of Florida.
Responsibilities may include monitor the progress of the various technical disciplines;
verifying that the various technical disciplines are being installed according to the accepted plans, specifications, and good engineering and construction practices; reviewing and providing written comments on construction contractor submittals; evaluating the construction contractor's records of work accomplished and materials used; providing technical interpretations of plans and specifications.
producing the Government's Daily Quality Assurance Reports; providing oversight of the construction contractor's Quality Control Program; evaluating level of inspection, testing procedures and results, documentation of deficiency correction, etc. in accordance with the USACE 3-Phase inspection program; participating in start-up tests, demonstrations, field instructions, and commissioning activities reviewing change orders and Statements of Work.

- Additional Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as construction project inspector on large complex multimillion-dollar projects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations is required (must have a minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training).
- Experience with utilizing the Resident Management System (RMS).
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC)
- Hold a High School Diploma.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
