Additive Manufacturing Technician

The Robotic Operator will be responsible for setup, operations, and maintenance of the new additive machine.

As Manufacturing Technician, you will follow specific procedures to operate equipment to ensure quality and reliability in production, while also maintaining Baker Hughes and Health & Safety practices.

As an Additive Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Assisting in the integration, start-up and debug of the welding equipment, including weld controls, GMAW-CMT welding robot while managing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Providing technical support in developing and improving additive manufacturing processes including weld quality control process and other Standard operation procedures.
  • Providing support in the analysis and resolution of equipment failures and troubleshoot part fit-up problems.
  • Providing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, AC motors and variable frequency drives (ABB) including controls knowledge on Wolfrobotics and GMAW-CMT welding equipment.
  • Maintaining safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the company safety policies

To be successful in this role you will:

 

 

  • Experienced with programming and operating robotic welding machines including Lincoln/Wolfrobotics/ABBMachine Programming/Operation REQUIRED to run Automated Wire arc additive manufacturing
  • Understand weld/additive manufacturing quality and parameter along with analog/digital I/Os and mapping external signals from a PC environment
  • Excellent trouble shooting, problem-solving, and time management skills, self-motivated to initiate work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work various shifts as needed to support production demands including long shifts and occasional weekends
