Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in the industrial, mining or utility sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety and environmental regulations are followed methodically
  • Detailed design for both medium and high voltage indoor/outdoor substations
  • Preparation of one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements, and cable schedules
  • Provide mark-ups of existing substation schematic and wiring removal drawings (as applicable)
  • Perform basic calculations such as voltage drop, CT burden and saturation, short circuit, relay settings and Arc Flash
  • Ensure conformity and completeness of engineering packages against project requirements
  • Preparation of specifications and bill of materials
  • Provide technical support during tendering, construction and commissioning
  • Travel to client sites for short durations as required

  • 7-10 y ears r elevant e x p erience

  • A ttention t o detail a nd p r i de i n work quality
