We are seeking an Electrical Engineer, with experience in operations and maintenance of HV/MV electrical to join Power Systems Renewable Department (PSRD).
PSRD actively introduces and promotes cost effective, reliable and efficient renewable energy solutions within Saudi Aramco facilities in remote power, grid connected systems and large-scale deployment. We maintain renewable assets within Saudi Aramco by providing a robust monitor and control program.
Your primary role will be to conduct special studies and perform engineering analysis, development & design as well as the coordination and control of assigned projects.
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Participate in qualification of HV equipment vendors.
Lead initiatives and technologies intended to enhance maintenance and operation practices.
Lead and recommend new continuous improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within specific fields of endeavor.
Estimate costs, prepare justifications and complete expenditure requests as required.
Lead the activities of project proposal that include development of scope, functions, interrelationship, integration, physical solution definition, cost estimate, etc.
Lead project execution for project proposal, initiatives, studies and continuous improvement of solutions and problem solvers.
Plan, schedule and provide work direction for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of challenging engineering problems.
Formulate the basis for engineering studies in any of several basic or special engineering fields by analyzing and evaluating all relevant data & ideas.
Evaluate ideas & technologies as to scope, effect on existing installations, economic value, and long-range planning and budgetary considerations.
Initiate detailed work outline and make decision as to basic approaches, processes and/or equipment.
Perform relative functions for the development of our technology & innovation KPI and performance reports for organization.
Interface with local and global technology leaders to identify the latest market technologies.
Lead technology scouting and assess local and international technologies.
Lead the development of Business Plan reports, technology deployment mapping, MoU, OE...etc.
Participate in technology & idea evaluation committee.
Develop a technology deployment roadmap for the approved technology proposals.
Lead organization IP submission, development and progress reporting.
Perform technology project packages development.
Lead the technology projects executions and monitor progress and milestones.
Conduct review and screen for T&I: filter the submitted technologies, deep assessment: TI Review, preliminary assessment, screening and conduct assessment.
Prepare technology outlook report for approved technology ideas.
You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering. A Master Degree is preferred.
You should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in substation equipment design and application. Preferably shall also have a Master's degree in engineering.
You shall have hands-on field experience in maintenance and operation, having worked for at least 5 years as a substation equipment professional.
You shall solid experience and knowledge in substation equipment design, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair as well as having wide knowledge in O&M new technologies.
In-depth knowledge of international specifications, codes, and standards, with knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods and design details are a requirement.
