Project Engineer

This engineering team executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Identify and understand project contractual commitments
  • Verify, and develop if necessary, the proposed technical solution as required by the project specification
  • Define functional and detailed designs for DS - Bentley Nevada machine protection and condition monitoring systems
  • Define inspection and test plans and procedures
  • Lead factory acceptance tests (FAT), and coordinate with other teams during testing activities
  • Ensure project technical execution is within budgeted cost and schedule
  • Execute project engineering tasks using sound engineering principles and adhering to the company quality management system
  • Participate as a key member on the project team
  • Interact, as necessary, with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, and provide timely communications on relevant project issues or developments


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Electronics or other related fields with at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a project execution environment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English, with demonstrated ability to structure and write project technical material
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Good project engineering skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent team player
  • The following would be advantageous: (i) knowledge of machinery protection and monitoring systems; (ii) field, projects, or maintenance experience of instrumentation or control systems; (iii) knowledge of rotating machinery design and operation
  • Knowledge on relevant industry standards
  • Knowledge on computer hardware and MS Windows administration
  • Knowledge of basic computer networking and routing, and common protocols
  • Proficient with MS Office software
  • Ability to multitask and works well under pressure
  • Sense of accountability
