Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Training Coordinator to work with the People & Organization team in St. John's.

Main Accountabilities
  • Accountable to ensure training and certification is up to date for all Onshore and Offshore employees
  • Track and ensure training are valid and in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain a database of personnel training records
  • Organize and file training records
  • Monthly/Quarterly reporting of training progress in each department/group/project
  • Schedule training and ensure attendance
  • Forecast training requirements
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and 3 rd party vendors and ensure they follow established policies
  • Report on training progress through established Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Generate training reports for internal and external clients
  • Day to day support of a wide range of Human Resources activities including but not limited to onboarding, maintaining personnel files, booking medicals and completion and / or process of all necessary paperwork
  • Provide support within the HR function as needed


Skills / Qualifications

Main Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or diploma with 2 - 5 years' experience related directly to the role
  • Knowledge of training practices and principles related to offshore and onshore sites
  • Previous experience in a Training and HR environment would be preferred
  • The role is responsible for working autonomously on assigned tasks and liaising with the appropriate team members and relevant business stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and familiarity with the use of databases
  • Collate data into a logical order and sequence and provide analysis
  • Ability to communicate across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to deal with frequent change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Deliver in a customer focused climate
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information
