Overview

Gas Operations Technical Support Department is looking to hire a Distributed Control System Engineer (DCS) to join Plant Network and Systems group under Gas Operations Technical Support Division (GOTS/PN&S). The Engineer should be able to apply an extensive and diverse resource of Knowledge and experience, analyze and interpret conceptual ideas into workable solutions for complex problems and issues. Also, address and resolve critical situations, both technical and non-technical. Provide technical support and consultation to gas plants in Plant Control Network (PCN), Process Control Systems (PCS), Process Automation Network (PAN) and field instrumentations. Conduct several assessments throughout the year for all Gas Operations facilities to ensure full compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, procedures, technical alerts or central engineering departments recommendations. Moreover, should be able to review technically any future projects such as expansion projects, obsolescence management, systems upgrade or technology deployment pertaining aforementioned areas.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Conduct formal assessments on all Gas Operations facilities industrial control networks and systems as mandated by corporate standard requirements.

Work with the plants on the closure requirements of the identified finding during the compliance assessment.

Review the feasibility of developing future projects. Technically review and study new projects.

Conduct awareness programs. Support Plants Networks & Systems internal audit.

Provide technical consultation.

Evaluate and assist the deployment of new technologies.

Represent Gas Operations in different taskforces.

Support other Departments such as (Information Security Department, Process and Control Systems Department, Consulting Service Department, Information protection department) and be the focal point for Gas Operations Department in the Internal Auditing.

Review and concur purchasing requisitions pertaining Process Network and Systems components.

Coordinate the execution of the corporate Process Network and Systems security projects at Gas Operations.

Regularly review mandatory standards and ensure compliance by plants.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. A higher education (i.e. Master's Degree) in similar majors is desirable.

Must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in process control fields.

Have in-depth knowledge of networking components and topologies.

Should have in-depth knowledge in at least one of the following main DCS vendors: Yokogawa, Honeywell and Foxboro.

Are familiar with Oil and Gas process and operation.

Must have a relevant control system certifications and knowledge in programing languages.
