Overview

We are seeking a Contract Advisor to work as the Contract Proponent representative in the development and administration of contracts in the Contracting Services Unit of Petroleum Engineering & Development (PE&D) administrative Area (PE&D).

PE&D Contracting Services Unit is comprised of a collaborative team of contracting professionals that are responsible for all contracting and invoicing sub-functions of the PE&D Admin Area. They regularly share knowledge; jointly address unique contract challenges and share lessons learned in the course of the unit's activities. PE&D is responsible for the management and development of all Saudi Aramco's oil and gas fields, and maximize sustained revenue by discovering, producing, processing and delivering the optimum economic mix of oil and gas in an efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner utilizing a highly qualified workforce and the most appropriate technologies.

The main role of the job is to handle Procurement development and execution of different contractual actions and conduct business and evaluation analysis.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Develop and execute contractual actions using sound business judgment to achieve optimal commercial outcomes for Saudi Aramco in a timely manner to meet the operational needs of PE&D Proponents.

Handle Risk Management and legal necessities.

Review, prepare and lead procurement actions and commercial contract negotiations using data-driven approaches.

Advise on different contractual issues and dispute resolution up to and including supplier performance issues and official claims by the supplier and negotiate claim settlement.

Prepare detailed financial analysis of commercial bid submissions, supplier spend and other types of financial as well as technical studies and analyses as required; to establish feasibilities for evaluating the alternatives that may impact the technical, financial and/or procedural/administrative relationships. Assist in the preparation of verifications of contractor cost and escalation or de-escalation factors, the company estimate, and the scope of work that reflects a realistic company position.

Stay current with relevant news and topics related to Saudi Aramco, oil markets and suppliers to identify risks and opportunities as applicable to PE&D procurements and contracts, and develop status reports or other presentations for Executive Management.

Being initiative and proactive to locate shortcomings or potential problems in the administrative procedures or contract terms and conditions and recommend solutions.

Provide guidance and brainstorm with fellow teammates on unique contractual challenges or opportunities. Thrive in a close-knit team environment.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will

Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance or other business or engineering discipline.

Have 10-15 years' experience in contractual business fields. 5 years' experience in international Oil & Gas industry is desirable.

Must have excellent command of the English language as verbal, business writing skills are required. Must have advanced skills in Business Presentations and usage of required tools as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Have Contractual & legal background.
