Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Providing sales support and product application recommendations.
  • Coordinating to implement area specific product strategies and best practices.
  • Working with the Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesman to ensure any risk of meeting the client's objective is communicated to the client using the appropriate channels/processes for the respective client.
  • Performing offset well/similar job analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential.
  • Providing technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drilling fluids technology.
  • Comparing job as-planned versus job as-executed and document any lessons learned to ensure opportunity for continuous improvement.
  • Investigating unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions.
  • Performing customer technical presentations. Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements.

 


To be successful in this role you will:

 

 

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineer.
  • Have minimum 8 years of oilfield industry experience in drilling (Drilling and completions fluids experience. 3 years minimum in Ecuador's fields - HPWBM experience as mud engineer or technical support it is required -
  • Demonstrate previous experience client-facing roles.
  • Be proficient use of computer-based programs related to application of products, including MS Office. Expertise in MS Excel, Business Intelligence tools (Tableau) and Data Visualization Tools (Jewel suite & DCFR) are desired.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge in Water based, Oil Based and Completions fluids, and technical knowledge in hydraulics, Drilling fluids, drill string, directional drilling, drilling parameters optimization.
  • Produce calculations/simulations/plan revision and/or changes during the project cycles for visibility to dependent teams and audit purpose.
  • Be initiative driven, problem solver should be willing to increase their knowledge base in drilling and completions systems applications within the oilfield industry.
  • Have experience work in the dirt/rig sites, wearing PPE/HSE attire. Work on Field Incidents related to products/services.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills; excellent customer awareness. Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, be a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.
