Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for delivering continuous improvement in productivity through production planning, increasing efficiency and cost control to the Weatherford business. The Facility Supervisor will manage and coordinate the day to day activities, executing and exceeding company quality and delivery performance to support our drive to service the customer. You will build individual technical and leadership capability to direct reports and develop and maintain a continuous improvement process and culture throughout the facility and deliver workshop optimization projects.

MANAGEMENT PARTICIPATION

A key accountability of you as a supervisor is to meet the targets set for you in Management Participation and demonstrate your commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Core Values

Co-ordinate and comply with HSE procedures and policies in accordance with the AS 4801 Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, including:

Deliver updates in safety and tool box meetings

Regular HSE inspections and walk arounds to ensure compliance

Ensure third party compliance to Weatherford HSE Procedures whilst on Weatherford premises.

Actively promote positive HSE culture.

Lead by example.

Co-ordinate and comply with quality procedures and policies in accordance with the ISO9001 Quality Assurance System, including:

Building rewarding customer relationships (internal and external) by understanding, responding to and satisfying customer requirements.

Actively participating in Continual Improvement by identifying, analysing and implementing cost effective innovative solutions to the benefit of the business.

Ensuring equipment and personnel are fit for purpose.

Active involvement in the raising of Corrective and Preventative Action Reports (CPAR) across the organisation.

Responsible for investigation and implementation of Corrective Actions for all CPAR's that directly relate to area of responsibility.

Regular review of relevant Work/Service Instructions and update when necessary.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PEOPLE

Accountable to use the company Performance Management system to set objectives and rate individual performance of team members. This task can not be delegated;

Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members;

Accountable for managing the performance of team members;

Accountable for achieving results through people; and

Leading and driving the development of team and individual capability.

OPERATIONS

Establish production planning on the workshop floor to optimise throughput in conjunction with product line requirements.

With Lean principles help identify and drive continuous improvement within the business.

Challenge existing systems and ensure new processes are implemented to maximize through put and reduce customer lead times

Develop and execute Operational and Strategic Plans for area of responsibility

Develop and implement robust systems, processes, policies and procedures to maximise organisational efficiencies and drive down costs in India;

Liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure standards and legislative requirements are adhered to;

Hold Daily Meetings to ensure operational requirements are communicated effectively

Manage the financial results with a focus on cost optimisation and accountability.

Other duties as directed.

TECHNICAL

Provide direction and support to all business units in Kakinada facility to enable them to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

Help to develop and implements successful business plans and strategies

Define and deliver Quality as expected by the Customer and ensure compliance

Provide Guidance and manage the day to day operations

Assist in driving behavioural change within the facilities to ensure a strong safety culture

Improve processes to achieve high levels of efficiency commercially & operationally.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

•Lean and 6 Sigma Knowledge

•Ability to influence people at all levels within the organisation;

•QHSSE Theoretical and Practical knowledge;

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

•Demonstrated procedural knowledge and operational competency;

•Excellent management skills and interpersonal skills;

•Excellent IT competence;

•Sound organisation and time management skills; and

•Oil and Gas experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

•Minimum 3+ years experience in the Manufacturing or related Industry; and

•Comprehensive knowledge of Lean principles.

•A demonstrated background with continuous improvement

•A strong ability to influence change.

QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIAL TRAINING:

•Preferred Bachelor Degree in Business Administration

•Drivers License

•Lean Principles / 6 Sigma

ALLOWANCES/SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

•The role will require reasonable additional hours outside of normal working period being 8.00 am to 5.00pm;

•The role will require you to undertake periodic travel to fulfil your role requirements. This travel may be planned or as a result of an unplanned event requiring urgent travel.
