Systems Engineering is an outcome driven collaboration with customers . Through focus and proactive approach, it requires a robust understanding of project drivers, technical challenges and overarching parameters.

You will be operating within a multi-disciplinary team. You will also support execution of subsea projects. You may be accountable for cost, schedule and HS&E performance and support project management activities.

As a Latin America Regional Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

Responsibility

  • Full accountability of systems engineering within led region across project lifecycle including:
  • Early identification of opportunity pipeline alongside regional sales and commercial leadership teams.
  • Creation of visible and up to date systems engineering demand profile for region (by country)
  • Creating and leading regional systems engineering hubs (client proximity, country specific) as needed by the business to enable front end, tendering and execution of systems engineering across all project phases.
  • Accountability to systems solution build-up including technical readiness (liaison with product and technology leadership), systems suitability (validation of systems solution against customer and project drivers), and competitiveness (liaison with commercial leadership)
  • Accountability of progressive systems risk management across project lifecycle.
  • Liaison with front end engineering manager for deploying of engineers into pursuits.
  • Skills and competency management of regional systems engineering resources including performance management, up skilling and training.
  • Deployment of engineering teams to meet demand set by commercial and project leadership.
  • Active participation in Long Term Deal Strategy sessions to project regional demand for systems engineering
  • Responsible for leading Baker Hughes 'Bid to Execute' program definition between Tollgate 0 (opportunity identification - liaison with front end engineering manager) and Tollgate 17 (project close-out).
  • Ensuring the work is performed in accordance with Baker Hughes Quality Management Systems.
  • Technical leadership on pursuits and projects as well as people leadership towards recruitment, resource management, competency and capability development.
  • Supports the OFE commercial organization in identifying and pursuing opportunities and project enablement.
  • Assists in preparing proposals and technical tenders as a technical peer checker and approver
  • Develop internal systems and processes for undertaking engineering tasks leading to safe and successful delivery of jobs.
  • Seek out and promote application of new technology to enable promotion and positioning of Baker Hughes to the market


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a MSc or BSc in a related field or demonstrate equivalent expertise gained in Systems Engineering.
  • Possess practical knowledge of all aspects of the Subsea Systems Engineering Lifecycle from NPI,Tender development, Project Engineering, SIT, commissioning, and operations.
  • Have proven experience in design and selection of the following: Field architecture/Flow assurance/process engineering/SPS/Risers, flowlines and pipelines.
  • Have broad knowledge of processes, methods and procedures within project and engineering management.
  • Able to travel internationally for project needs and for short term assignments.
