Subsea production around the world offer significant opportunities and present a number of challenges. Our Subsea Systems and Services cover a range of applications across varying pressure, temperature, and water depth requirements.

Partner with the best

The sourcing intern will enter into a world class procurement training programme. Over an 8-month period the sourcing intern will be trained in areas such as negotiating, order placement, financial analysis and reporting. They will work with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers to support a variety of Baker Hughes projects.

As a Procurement Intern, you will be responsible for:
  • Conducting technical negotiations for assigned package scope of work in collaboration with engineering.
  • Supporting commercial validation of suppliers' offers / quotes/Issue and track PO's, ensuring OTD to manufacturing need and promise dates.
  • Defining and maintaining price/cost metrics and savings measurement.
  • Providing an interface between Baker Hughes, suppliers and customers on all contractual matters.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have an academic background, or experience in, law business or finance
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and be fluent in English.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and remotely where needed
  • Be a self-starter who can take the initiative and immerse themselves in challenging projects
