Software Architect (Tech Advisor-Software Dev, Sr)
The Software Architect for Baroid and Multi-Chem will be responsible for setting technical direction for cloud adoption and maintaining constantly changing architectures of existing on prem apps. This individual must be able to define best practices for complex solutions and develop migration strategies for existing on premise applications. This individual must also have strong consultative and communication skills. Other stakeholders such as IT Security must be consulted on solution direction, and the individual must be able to bring the different stakeholders to consensus. The individual must also be able to influence product teams on the reasons and direction for migrating to cloud architectures.
- 13+ years working with information technology
- 5+ years working with cloud technology
- Expert in cloud technologies, especially Azure
- Expert in DevSecOps methodologies, especially Terraform and ADO
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field of study
- Significant experience with consultative roles
- Significant experience with transformations from traditional software to cloud native
- Significant experience with transformations from traditional operational methodologies to DevSecOps
- Experience with Agile development practices

Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline, and 10 years of related experience or through 14 years of software development experience . Completion of a masters in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred.
