As a Procurement Specialist you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.

As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Leading commercial validation of suppliers' offers / quotes/Issue and track PO's, ensuring OTD to manufacturing need and promise dates
  • Defining and maintaining price/cost metrics and savings measurement
  • Acting as primary interface between Baker Hughes, supplier and customers on all contractual matters
  • Ensuring sourcing projects have effective sub-contracts and these are managed, controlled and expedited in a professional and efficient manner in accordance with the requirements of the Project
  • Driving OTD and fulfillment within the scope of work

To be successful in this role you will:

 

 

  • Have a BSc or MSc from an accredited university or college (or a diploma / GED with proven experience in purchasing)
  • Have significant experience in a Technical Buyer position.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as established interpersonal and leadership skills
