Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in our Singapore office.


  • Ensure P&O decisions are aligned with both business and functional objectives
  • Management of direct reports, maintaining open and effective lines of communications
  • Provide consultative, problem-solving support for challenging business issues and ensure expert functional support is provided to the business in a timely and cost-effective manner


  • May lead the delivery of P&O related acquisition and integration activities in area of responsibility
  • Ensure all relevant metrics and reporting KPIs are actively monitored and reported on
  • Maintain expert knowledge of functional specialty by staying abreast of best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements, and benchmark comparisons
  • Develops effective leadership in their business area, aligned to Wood culture, values and behaviors.
  • Drives robust people development and performance management throughout the business area, to build and retain skills needed to deliver the operational business in the short to medium term.
  • Deliver effective employee communication and support employee engagement
  • Support and participate in emergency response activities ensuring effective P&O presence
  • Responsible for compliance activities for the Singapore operations ensuring compliance with relevant group standards, regulatory requirements, and operating procedures
  • Support the creation of an organizational culture through coaching and implementation of management development programs and opportunities
  • Assure quality on the delivery of people solutions, proactively seeking and addressing client feedback
  • Lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and group's standards and policies
  • Recommend and implement employee relations programs to foster a positive employee/employer relationship and promoted high level of employee morale, productivity, and engagement


Skills / Qualifications





  • Degree level qualification in Human Resources or business management preferred


Job specific experience:





  • At least 8-10 years' experience in business-focused HR Business Partnering roles within a dynamic organization
  • Experience of managing change, putting high emphasis on co-operation and business partnership
  • across the company
  • Good knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative frameworks
  • Previous experience of dealing with industrial and employee relations issues

  • Business service offering and customer base
  • Business performance and how it can deliver and add value to its customers
  • Awareness of external factors, competitors and their impact on business strategy and success
  • Key roles performed in groups/departments served
  • Highly conversant with Microsoft excel
